Kingston’s second School Street initiative launched on September 6th, 2022. This School Street operates outside Central Public School, which accommodates students from kindergarten to grade 8, located in the heart of downtown Kingston.
School Street sessions take place every school day, for a half hour during both morning arrival and afternoon departure times. The initiative coordinator is a parent from the school. Volunteers include parents and area residents, with support from the Kingston Coalition for Active Transportation.
